Dr. Mike Mallin
Co-Founder & Chief Science Officer
Dr. Mike Mallin is a board-certified emergency medicine physician with over a decade in practice. He holds a degree in Chemical Engineering from University of South Carolina and attended medical school at University of South Carolina before completing his residency at the University of Utah in emergency medicine, and a fellowship in point of care ultrasound, specializing in echocardiography. He is credentialed by the National Board of Echocardiography. Dr. Mallin has published over 30 peer reviewed research articles and received numerous awards, including the 2012 American College of Emergency Medicine Award for Contribution to Emergency Ultrasound and the Academy of Emergency Ultrasound Education Award. He was awarded the University of Utah Emergency Medicine Faculty Teacher of the Year Award in both 2011 and 2013, as well as attending of the year for 2013. Mike left academics for private practice in 2017.
Dr. Mallin’s obsession with health, physical performance, and longevity started early on. He is an avid athlete having participated in adventure races, ultra-marathons, cycling races, and CrossFit competitions. He relishes in optimizing his fitness, diet, sleep, and supplementation, as well as helping others unlock the science of longevity to live the highest quality of life obtainable. More recently, Dr. Mallin has become enamored with mindfulness, practicing himself, as well as guiding his patients to the power of self-awareness. Dr. Mallin co-founded Wild Health – a Precision Medicine service providing personalized, genetics-based care to help patients achieve optimal wellbeing – and serves as both a physician and Chief Science Officer. He also co-hosts the Wild Health Podcast, a tool for teaching thousands about personalized, genetics-based Precision Medicine.
