I hold a Bachelor of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy and I gained extensive experience in neurology and acute stroke care while working at a Comprehensive Stroke Care Center. I also hold a Master’s of Divinity Degree in Christian Ministry, which has influenced my desire and ability to care for the whole person–physically, mentally, and spiritually. My passion for wellness and preventative care developed throughout the course of my 20 years working as a healthcare practitioner. As I watched my patients continuously falling ill, I realized that so much of what I was seeing was lifestyle related, and thus completely preventable. Patients often do not know where to begin when considering a wellness journey. I have thus become passionate about educating people on the steps they can take to achieve health, rather than entering and becoming dependent on the medical system. I continuously further my education in health optimization by staying current with the latest literature. I strive to make scientific information practical, useful, and understandable so that people can develop healthy new habits that can easily be integrated into their every-day lives. I have been married to my husband for 20 years and I have 3 children. In my spare time, I can be found running carpool and going to sporting events with little people!
